An ideal opportunity for a day out with the family to visit a fair with a variety of exhibitors for both collectors & browsers who are looking for something special or unusual at very competitive & affordable prices.
The venue was built in 1955 with funds raised by the local community to honour brave servicemen who perished whilst on active duty during the 1st & 2nd World Wars.
**The venue is very spacious & tastefully decorated with ample parking, disabled facilities & refreshments**
**Easy access for exhibitors to load & unload**
Situated in the World Heritage Jurassic Coast county of Dorset, just off the A354 in Upwey between the market town of Dorchester & the famous seaside town of Weymouth, noted for it's sandy beaches & family entertainment facilities. Both towns are within a 20 minute drive of the venue.
A 10 minute drive from Weymouth is The Royal Manor of Portland, world famous for being a world class sailing destination & has been credited by the Royal Yachting Association as the best sailing waters in Northern Europe.
Portland has also hosted world class international events such as the Johnny Walkers Windsurfing World Championships & Weymouth and Portland have been host to numerous international sailing events. World class sailing events are due to begin in June 2011 with a number of other international events throughout 2011 leading up to the 2012 Olympics.
Weymouth & Portland was the first 2012 Olympic venue to be completed & several 2012 countries have already begun training in this area at the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy, which was built on land reclaimed from the sea using 600,000 tonnes of Portland stone so a truly "must see" attraction.
Portland is famous for it's stone, buildings such as the Original St Paul’s Cathedral, New Scotland Yard, Waterloo Bridge, the Cenotaph, United Nations Building in New York, the new British Museum, the Parliament Building in Northern Ireland, the new Stock Exchange and the Bank of England.
So why not visit Jarcaranda Treasures Antiques, Collectors and Craft Fair & make a day of it by visiting the local attractions.
