My Name is Douglas Juckes & live on The Jurassic Coast in the County of Dorset.

I have always had a obsessive interest in antiques, collectables & crafts of all descriptions since I left school & as such have ended up with a vast collection of items & nowhere to store them.

In the last twenty years or so I have been exhibiting at various venues in Middlesex, Surrey & Sussex before moving to Dorset.

Over the years, I sensed a great desire amongst my fellow exhibitors for smaller fairs within the affordability of both exhibitors & public at large, it was this that sparked my interest in starting to organise my own fairs.

I also noticed, being interested in the finer things in life that there was an equal desire by craftsmen to exhibit their skills at an affordable venue, which are very few & far between if you wish to make a profitable living.

To this end, I started to search for a suitable venue to organise a monthly combined antiques, collectables and craft fair with both the exhibitor and public in mind.

With great difficulty I found a suitable venue just off the main A354 in the very accessible village of Upwey, between Weymouth & Dorchester.

Despite the present state of the economy, since starting in June 2010 the ten monthly fairs I have hosted has had some very encouraging feedback from both exhibitors & public alike. There was a pleasant mixture of choice & as such has encouraged me to seek to raise the standard of my fair for every ones benefit.

Hopefully if this venue continues to be a success I may be tempted to start a second fair at another venue & expand my hobby.
